The Fabris family were extremely gracious with having to reschedule their family photos. We were originally planned to meet at Ken-O-Sha Park on October 23rd for their family mini session, but we got rained out! Huge bummer. Thankfully, we were able to meet the next weekend at Grand Ravines Park, and boy did we get some awesome family photos for them! I loved it!
Their two little ones did such a great job for their age. Of course, they wanted to run around and play, but they were willing to listen and snuggle up with Mom and Dad so I could create some beautiful family portraits for them. It doesn’t hurt that they’re so darn cute too!
Grand Ravines Park is a beautiful area for family photography because there’s such a diverse range of scenes. There are multiple great fields of wildflowers in the spring, summer, and fall; paved and unpaved walking paths through the woods; a river with fun photo opportunities; and even a covered bridge!
Grand Ravines Park is one of my favorite locations to take photos in the Grand Rapids area (it’s actually in Georgetown Township). You have to be sure of what you put into your maps app though. “Grand Ravines Park North” is the area that I like for taking pictures; there’s also a great dog park to the south that you may be directed to if you just search for “Grand Ravines Park”.
